I think I've watched Mulan too many times... I also can't shade crease and folds. Don't kill me! I really need to practice shading clothes and sheets...
This was colored with Prismacolor markers and touched up in Photoshop. Right now I'm using drawing paper for my art, but I think I need to switch to something that doesn't absorb the marker ink right away... Any suggestions?
I love how much you're posting lately. ^__^;; It makes me happy to see your arts.
Your sense of color has always amazed me. With this pic, I'm very taken by all the subtle browns you used. Yay~!
If you want to learn how to draw/color/shade folds and creases, you can practice by just throwing a piece of cloth (a white sheet works really well) down on the floor and trying to draw that. it helps alot.
as for paper, i just use really cheap cardstock that I get at Michaels (in the scrapbooking section). but there's all sorts of bristol paper that's really nice to use and paper made especially for markers (thou i never used that). deleter brand doujinsi/comic paper also works quite nice with markers.
yay for europa chan arts~!!!!
Thank you porku-chan!! It means a lot to me about what you said about colors. I love drawing with traditional mediums so much more... I can't do that kind of effect with digital art for some reason.
I've just felt like drawing so much lately! Haha. I hope I improve because of it. And I still feel like finally taking an art class, but I'm so scared. XD
Oh, that's such a simple but great idea to practice drawing folds!! I'll definitely try it! And thanks a million for the paper tips, I'll have to experiment a bit at my Michaels store.
Yay!! Haha~!
